3. Description of the Register

Customer register based on customer relationships and other relevant connections with Taipale Telematics. (”Customer Register of Taipale Telematics”)


4. Defined purpose of data processing

Processing and storage of statistical data required for the production of Vehicle Usage Tracking and Driver Feedback and Incentive System.

5. The information content of the register

A person’s first name, family name or a code provided by the person’s employer. No personal identity codes, addresses, payroll data etc. will be processed or received.
The name of a person’s employer.
The operational organisation of a person’s employer.
A person’s email, if particularly so agreed with the person’s employer.
A person’s phone number, if particularly so agreed with the person’s employer.
A person’s role in the Vehicle Monitoring Online System as indicated by the person’s employer.
The timestamp when a person logs in and out of the system; information related to working and driving time.
Location and driving analysis information provided by the vehicle device, concerning the person logged in the vehicle.
Other data gathered by the vehicle device while a person is logged in to the vehicle; summaries of vehicle wear and the driver’s driving behaviour data

A person’s data will be kept for the duration of the person’s employers service contract or until the person requests that his/her personal data will be deleted.


6. Regular sources of information

The personal and organisational information of a person provided by the person’s employer.
Technical data collected on vehicles and vehicle devices.

7. Disclosure and transfer of information

Personal information is provided and updated by the customer company.

The customer company (a person’s employer) is provided with information related to the working and driving time of the person logged in to the vehicle.

The customer company (a person’s employer) is provided with information about the location and driving behaviour of the person logged in to the vehicle, collected by the vehicle device.

The customer company (a person’s employer) is provided with information about the usage of the vehicle by the person logged in to the vehicle, collected by the vehicle device, as well as summaries about the driving data of a person.

Personal data or other data associated with a person will not be disclosed to a third party.

The data is used anonymously for product development purposes (statistical processing).

Data will not be transferred outside the EU or the EEA.


8. Register security

The register is protected by standard technical protective measures.
Use of the register requires a personal username and password, which are only available to those who need the register for their duties. Access rights are limited to the necessary information for each employee. The employees are bound by professional secrecy..
The register is located on a secure server in a physically secure, locked environment.

9. The data subject’s rights for inspecting, prohibiting the processing and correcting personal data

A person entered in the register has the right under the Personal Data Act to check what personal information about him/her has been stored.

A person has the right to inspect the information or to receive copies of it upon request.

A person wishing to inspect their data must submit a specified request in person or by a signed letter to the data controller.

Data controller sees to that the right of inspection can be executed.

A person has the right to demand the correction of erroneous information.

A person has the right to demand the erasure of their personal information in case he or she is no longer employed by the data controllers customer, except there is a lawful reason to store it.


10. Amendment of the Privacy Statement

Taipale Telematics is constantly developing its business and therefore reserves the right to change this privacy statement by announcing it in their services. Changes can also be based on changes in legislation.Taipale Telematics recommends that the persons involved reread the statement regularly.
